Setting up a POP3 and SMTP to your mobile phone or PDA will allow you to not only read your Business Center e-mail on your mobile phone or PDA, but you will also be able to reply with a Business Center e-mail address!
Our POP3 server is designed to serve ALL mail from your Business Center Inbox regardless of which address it was sent to. Also, it will ONLY serve mail that is in your Inbox. If you have rules to move messages to a folder, those won't go to your phone. Your BlackBerry will only try to get mail about every 15 to 20 minutes, BlackBerry does not offer a way to do it more frequently. If you move or delete a message before your BlackBerry tries to download it, it will not be sent to your phone.
To get started, you will need to access the POP3 configuration settings through your PDA. Once you are in the settings, configure the following:
- Username: [Business Center username]
- Password: [Business Center password]
- Incoming mail server: pop.secure-session.com
- Incoming mail server type: POP3 (or just POP)
- Incoming mail requires SSL: yes
- Incoming mail port: 995 (if it asks for it)
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.secure-session.com
- Outgoing mail server type: SMTP
- Outgoing mail requires SSL: yes
- Outgoing mail requires authentication: yes
- Outgoing mail port: 465 (if it asks for it)
