Creating an E-Mail Template Creating an E-Mail Template

To create a new e-mail template in your File Manager:

  1. Click on the New icon at the top of the main screen and select E-mail Template... from the drop-down menu. A new window titled "E-mail template" will appear.

    Note: Be certain that you select "E-mail Template..."and not "E-mail..." from the New drop-down menu.
  2. In the E-Mail template window:
    1. Format - Choose the format in which the e-mail will be sent
      1. Plain Text - Plain typing
      2. Rich Text (HTML) - Allows you to send e-mails with special formatting (such as bold text). The E-mail window includes formatting buttons. Each of these buttons are described in section "9.01c Plain Text and HTML E-mails" of the support guide.
    2. Description - In the field adjacent to "Description," enter a description for this e-mail. The text you type in this field will be displayed when you click on the "My Online Files" folder in the Selection Menu to the left of the main screen but will not be seen by those receiving it.
    3. Subject - In the field adjacent to "Subject," type the subject for this e-mail. The information you type in this field will be seen by those receiving it.
  3. If you want to save this e-mail template in any folder within your File Manager other than the My Online Files folder, click on the icon adjacent to "Folder" in the upper right hand portion of the email template window. In the window that opens Locate the folder into which you want to save this e-mail template, click on the folder name and then click delete the "OK" button.

    Note: If you have any folders that have "sub-folders," the "parent" folder will have a symbol next to it. Click on this symbol to see all sub-folders that are housed/stored under this parent folder. Select the appropriate folder from the drop-down menu above the attachment icons before saving it.

4. Click the " Save" button.
